Centurion Biofuels Explores Partnership Opportunities in Brazil
August 2, 2010 Centurion Biofuels was invited to Fortaleza, Brazil to explore partnership opportunities with major companies and researchers in Brazil interested in algae technologies. Representatives from Centurion Biofuels met with researchers from the Federal University of Ceará, the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and representatives from Petrobras, the largest company in Brazil and 8th largest in the world. Centurion executives also met with representatives from Embrapa, the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation, and from Braskem, a major Brazilian petrochemical company with a strong emphasis on sustainability. Funding support was provided by the Going Global Innovation program of the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada.
Adjunct Faculty Award
July 1, 2010 Dr. Duane Chung, President & CEO of Centurion Biofuels, was appointed Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences at McMaster University.

April 6, 2010 Centurion Biofuels attended the 2010 World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology & Bioprocessing in Washington, D.C. At the meeting, Centurion executives met with executives from major algae, renewable bioproducts, chemicals and investmest firms.
Centurion Biofuels Attends Canada-Brazil Partnership Workshop
Mar 10, 2010 Centurion Biofuels was invited to a workshop in Ottawa, Canada, sponsored by International Science and Technology Partnerships Canada Inc. and the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada. The workshop explored partnership opportunities between Canada and Brazil. Representatives from Canada included researchers from Canadian Universities and representatives from major Canadian biofuel and bioproduct companies, including Iogen Corporation, Greenfield Ethanol, and Lignol. Representatives from Brazil included delegates from Embrapa, the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation, the Brazilian Ambassador in Canada, the Brazilian Embassy in Canada, and the Office of the Director-General of the Brazilian National Petroleum Agency.
Biofuels International / Tank Storage Canada Expo & Conference
Oct 28, 2009 Dr. Duane Chung, President & CEO of Centurion Biofuels, was a presenter at a recent international biofuels conference held in Montreal, Canada, hosted by Biofuels International and Tank Storage Canada. Fellow speakers included representatives from major biofuels and industry companies including Iogen Corporation, Greenfield Ethanol, Emerging Markets Online, and Enerkem.
