Oct 28, 2009 Dr. Duane Chung, President & CEO of Centurion Biofuels, was a presenter at a recent international biofuels conference held in Montreal, Canada, hosted by Biofuels International and Tank Storage Canada. Fellow speakers included representatives from major biofuels and industry companies including Iogen, Greenfield Ethanol, Emerging Markets Online, and Enerkem. During the conference, Dr. Chung was interviewed by Kristina Tomaz-Young of Venture Cap TV which can be seen on the Venture Cap TV website.
OCETA Clean Technologies in Ontario
February 17, 2009 Centurion Biofuels was invited to attend a conference in Toronto announcing a pivotal Report on Ontario's clean technology industry, published by the Ontario Centre for Environmental Technology Advancement (OCETA) and the Russell-Mitchell Group. The report concluded that Ontario's clean technology industry can play a major role in Ontario's future prosperity, but companies in the industry face a number of challenges in order to become globally competitive. The report recommends a course of action to meet these challenges and realize the potential of clean technology in Ontario.
Adjunct Faculty Award
December 1, 2008 Dr. Duane Chung, President & CEO of Centurion Biofuels, was appointed Adjunct Professor in the Department of Land Resource Science at the University of Guelph.
China-Canada-California Forum on Energy and the Environment
November 1, 2008 Centurion Biofuels, was invited by the McGill Network for Innovation in Biofuels and Bioproducts to represent Canadian Industry at the China-Canada-California Forum on Energy and the Environment, in Wuxi, China. Dr. Duane Chung, Centurion Biofuels' President & CEO gave a presentation entitled, "Acetone-Butanol-Ethanol Fermentation in the 21st Century: Opportunities for Global Collaboration". Topics of discussion at the Wuxi Conference included water resource management, sustainable development, climate change, energy policy, pollution remediation, bioenergy, bioenergy crops, biomass utilization, and investment.
